| | | Q. | Safe Family Cards & Government ID Card? | |
| Ans. | The Government ID card is primarily aimed at assisting Government Departments track welfare and other benefit payments. Our cards are 100% user choice and only the cardholder / parent or guardian control access to the details. It is aimed at enhancing individual families own personal safety management. No information is accessible by Government officials unless the cardholder elects to do so - especially in an emergency, however some benefits of the card are common to both and therefore reinforce what Safe Family Cards Australia has been advocating - That in an emergency, minutes are critical, having access to vital data immediately improves the critical response time, minimising the time it takes to commence action and in some instances, may save a life. Safe Family Cards do not require special 'smart readers' to access the data. It is also worth noting that the Government card will only be issued to adults and no card is actually available for children, until now. | |
