Safe Family Cards understand and respect the need for protecting personal information.
Password Protection.
All Safe Family Cards can be password protected. This option is within the application form, simply type in your password. Type your password EXCATELY as you will remember it.
A word of caution - Your nominated I.C.E. contact should know your password at all times. We DO NOT keep password information and therefore cannot help you if it is lost or forgotten.
Will a Password Prevent Paramedics in an Emergency?
NO - All the information required to stablise a patient is located on the front label. - Positive Identification, Name, I.C.E. contact and our MediSafe Alert icons will immediately advise any allergies or pre existing illness. The paramedics can call the I.C.E contact direct and discuss any further queries they may have.
Once the patient has been transported to a hospital, the I.C.E. contact would have given the password or be there to meet the patient. The hospital can immediately print all medical and personal files contained within the card for the admission files. No third parties or emailing files - your vital information is INSTANT.
Privacy of Personal Information.
Any personal information supplied by you for the production of your card / cards, is stored within our secure server and can never be accessed by anyone for any other purpose than the production of your card / cards.
We would never give or sell your personal details - Ever.
Should you wish to remove your information once your card / cards are produced, simply tick - mark for deletion - at the bottom of your application. HOWEVER - this will remove our abiltily to update / renew your cards at the reduced cost.
