Your SmarTraveller card can contain information such as travel arrangements, photocopies of your passport, details of the nearest embassy, emergency numbers such as your Credit Card provider, vital medical details, DNA and In Case of Emergency contact. All these details contained on a mini CD and placed inside your wallet or purse, or your card can be supplied with a lanyard. 

Yes, your SmarTraveller card contains many personal details however, for the safety of your personal information, your SmarTraveller card can be password protected and only accessed with your permission. This will NOT affect the emergency icons or identification process as all the neccessary information is clearly seen on the label.
